The Education Rights Project (ERP) was established in February 2002 as a joint initiative of the Centre for Applied Legal Studies and the Education Policy Unit at the University of the Witwatersrand. The Project assists individuals and communities to assert and realise their right to basic education. I met the Director Salim Vally who inspires me and was so good to us on our trip!

Nice place we stayed while in Joberg. Great staff ..thank you Agnes and Cristina for cooking us breakfast everyday, makig sure we were warm etc( was cold still winter!) much thanks too to Peter ) owner) and also to Derrick ( our taxi guy) who took us everywhere mum & i needed!!!! THis is definitely a great & safe place to stay near Melville stores, cafes, bars etc. Check out Six when u go!!
National Gallery of Zimbabwe
The National Gallery of Zimbabwe in Mutare is situated in a historical building at Kopje house, which was built in 1897 and was the first hospital in Mutare. It was declared a Monument in the late 70s and thereafter became a Culture House under the custody of the national Museums and Monuments. The National Gallery of Zimbabwe Mutare branch was opened in 1999 and has five members of staff under the leadership of the Regional Director, Judy Mutunhu.
The gallery runs an annual exhibitions programme choosing to show a selection of work from the Harare gallery, while offering local artists the much needed opportunity to show their work.

An organization I respect & have connected with.... This woman rocks!!!! Rivka Solomon specializes in first-person narratives focusing on women's and girls' issues. In addition to her book That Takes Ovaries! Bold Females and Their Brazen Acts, Solomon's work has appeared in newspapers, magazines and radio broadcasts, including all the right places, such as Bitch: Feminist Response to Pop Culture; Bust: The New Girl Order etc. Since darn near babyhood, Solomon has been an advocate/activist for women and girls.
